help with new image Lincsat.Beta7.25-Full

I applied the Lincsat.Beta7.25-Full image on sunday night, but it didn't survive a keyroll and went back to FTA. I then re-flashed it and still the same. On Curly's advice I tried an older flash from July 2008 - "Laky-pro-1_[1x].img" and also applied the Nagrarom7 fix. This worked properly immediately and has even survived a keyroll today (02-12-08) and Virgin going offline in my area all morning (both broadband and Digital TV).

So what Im basically saying is, for all those people who had no end of trouble since last week and COULDNT get the Lincsat.Beta7.25-Full image to work, try the Laky-pro image and apply the nagrarom7 fix - this combination is working for me right now

Heres what got my box back online and it now survives key rolls :

1. flashed the Dbox with "Laky-pro-1_[1x].img"
2. reset all IP details on dbox so I can connect again over FTP
2. opened FTP connection to Dbox and browsed to /var/keys
3. delete all nagrarom*.bin filles from the /var/keys folder
4. uploaded over FTP "nagrarom7.bin" to /var/keys
5. rebooted Dbox
6. set my "location" to my local area (this causes a reboot anyway)
7. did a full scan for channels, with fast scan turned off (takes ages!)
8. rebooted and I was back online!

NB the above procedures has enabled my box to survive and stay online through today's keyrolls (02-12-08).

Reason why I've repeated this is because I had nothing but grief with the Dbox since the weekend and I didn't want anyone else to waste as much time as me with it!

I just wanted to add that Lincsat does release very nice images, but I couldn't get the latest to work reliably on my box but other people have.

I'm getting annoyed at this. Whenever I edit the bouquets, it just resets it self after two mins. Anyone know of a much easier way to do this?

If your comfortable with using FTP you can connect over FTP to your Dbox, browse to /var/tuxbox/config/zapit and within that folder is "bouquets.xml".

You'd be best to copy it to your PC, make another copy (in case you screw it up) and then edit it and FTP it back to the same location, overwriting the original. Put the original back if you screw it up.

Having read everything over all the last 11 pages, i think im just going to give up now

i tried everything over an over
running a Nokia Dbox2 with 2 intel chips so im assuming i need x2 images

flashed an loaded the latest Lincsat.Beta7.25-Full... seem to load fine an run okay
cheked the var/keys folder usong flashxp to make sure the nagrarom7.bin files were in correct place so im assuming these files were put there as part of the new full lincsat image so i dont need to go an add these or make any changes

not sure about autoupdate feature but im assuming this wud be part of the image???

did scan using all services an my area (vi**in M**ia)

i get 303 transponders an after the scan wich takes forever i get just 3 stupid channels wich are like test channels one of wich is just playing Kiss music videos an the other 2 are just empty test channles with a loud high pitched tone

have done the above method 2 times now an still no luck

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE any suggestions ???

maybe one final attempt with the laky pro image method,,, any one be abkle to tell em where i can get the right image for nokia dbox with 2 intel chips, so im assuming i need an x2 image all i have manage to find is Laky-pro-1.img
or lakys-july.img sp not sure wich one to use, ive tried to post as much as little an done a lot of reading an learning an trying it out myself, but now i wud really really appreciate some serious help pllleeeeeaaaaaasssseeeee ?????

location ?? wat loctaion ? do u mean as in the cable areas ? such as ireland etc ? ye i had that set to vir**n med**

but now im seriously ****ed, wat on gods earth am i doing wrong ???
just tried that laky pr0 1 image, flashed the box with the image then i added the nagrarom7 files to the var/key folder an removed all other nagrarom files, (only deleted the files that ended in rom im assuming thats correct)

re scanned using AllUk
comes up with around 373 transponders an about an hour later same damn problem only 3 channels found an thats the stupid test channels?

i must be doing something so small an something so stupidly wrong ???
