All I've read from other places is that the attitude to SV1/2's has changed...and I believe there's a fix for the SV2's out there...so hope has it's place now for SV1's!! The SV position has altered a little, that's clear..gji25 is absolutely correct in post #23. Why would you buy a box that the developers will eventually, as history will show, make deliberately obsolete? Surely better features - reliability, fast scan, USB, PVR/HDD, time-lag recording, twin tuners, HD etc..will be the market reasons to make you want to change box, NOT ENFORCING YOU TO! I think if you ENFORCE you could make your own brand OBSOLETE!!

If they dont want to support it just release the firmware sourcecode then see how quick a fix would be released.

Surely this key change emm isn't too much more compared to the previous changes.

I have heard there is a fix on the way. The reasons the delay is to force to buy a newer box as this way waiting around for a fix makes you want to buy a new box. I have SVs and Eurovoxs. I prefer the Eurovox all day compared to SVs.
