Default help i think i am nearly there!!!!

Hi i have a problem can you help me, its to do with the dbox2
I have set all the network connection as stated by some users from the forum
I have been on all the forums read all the posts but still i cannot
FTP from dbox to my PC
i keep getting ( connection failed no route to host)
i have looked if the user name or password is wrong
i am using
username : root
and
password : dbox2
or is there another username or password that you know
i am using a box that i had ordered from germany
its a nokia dbox2 neutrino sporsters
i have noticed i proxyserver has no host,username and password
in image update/ backup/ restore
has that got any thing to do with it
help !!!!!

connection failed no route to host means you haven't got your IP address set up correctly.
Check it by pressing dbox then going to settings/network and check your IP address is the one you're trying to ftp to.

Turn off your firewall and double check you have got a cross-over cable

your right i was usimg an ethernet cable instead of crosscable which i will go out and buy today
