Default Just got a TM9100 to play with LOL

Just got a TM9100 to play with, what an absolute bu99er it is too.

It does not want to play ball at all, and seems to have a mind of its own.

I don't have a clue what image it has on it or how to find out.

It just says UR Team TM-9100

rel 0.0.9

06/21/07

Hey ho, getting there though, all I want to do is scan all the sats, a few done so far and then its getting installed in a couple of days, I am soooo glad its not mine!

What hair?, I shaved it all off already, in preparation

No, it appears to be the standard model.

TBH I will be glad to get shot of it, I have only had it for 2 hours, and I never want to see it again

Thats exactly how i felt with my TM9100 which is why i sold it to Redoxide

I've got the TM9100 Super now. Its a bit of a headf**k compared to the Dreambox but its not a bad receiver once you get the right image on it.

First thing you want to do is go here _http://www.allsats.co.uk/ and get a copy of Andromeda image. You will also need a copy of Technomate Control Center 7

The image you are using if it is UR9 is older than gods dog and needs updating.

The major issue i found with this receiver is that dependent on what image you have on it is that it doesn't like controlling a motor.

Andromeda seems to be the best image for this purpose.

When i've got time i'll go through it with you on MSN if you want

Thanks Nano,

after having a bit more of a play with it, I must admit it is growing on me.

and I'm intrigued now to learn more.

I think I may consider getting one for myself at some point.

This one though, is getting installed tomorrow and I don't have time to mess with it, and if I f00k it up the customer is not going to be happy.

Got it to drive the motor OK with Diseqc, but USALS just doesn't make sense on it.

One thing to be said, conecting it to the internet was a doddle, just plugged it in, set the IP address and gateway, and it worked straight off. I was then able to download a multitude of add-ons, none of which seemed to do any thing. Couldn't even get it to read my Digitalb or my Sky card, it also said cccam not running, which is what i thought the Sky card needed.

Do I sense that you might be thinking of a Dreambox in the distant future Robbo?

Yes, just for the fun of it really. As I have enough easy to use receivers already, there would be no risk if it all goes t!ts up.

I would probably just get a cheap 500 clone to start with, so that I haven't wasted much on it, then migrate up to the real deal.

The card reader on the TM9100 doesn't work with CCcam, It was never designed to work with this receiver

If you want it to read your Sky or Digitalb card you have to use Newcs/Cccam or gbox.

I'm not particular familiar with UR9 and judging by how old it is is probably why none of the links are working

You really need to update the image on it

I found Andromeda and EDG Nemesis 4.1 about the best on my 9100 super.

For ease of setting up it may be worth looking at UR14 or DS4.0 image.

Once you have installed Newcs/CCcam or gbox you will then need to download the config files too dependent on which emu you have chosen

Blimey Jim you kept the DM800 a bit quiet didn't you

How you finding it

Thanks nano.

Haven't got time to play with it any more but did have some success, and that was getting my Sky FTV card working in it. It was an absolute doddle.

I just used control panel to download the latest Control panel.
Exited out of control panel, went back in.

Then uninstalled all existing CAMS that were there.

Then downloaded "Mgcamd1.31Newcs1.62 2Card"

Then put the Sky card into the receiver.

Then pressed the scam button, and told it to use the above CAM for Sky,

and bingo I could watch Sky 3.

I'm getting to like this a bit more now

EDIT> It works with my DigitalB card as well.
