i am an owner of a starview 1 and i must say i do really like the picture quality on these boxes i have had them all i really hope theres more support for this box even if they dont want to they can make people pay?

they should not just cut people off considoring the changes last year whoever made them can go bk in to the file and redo the changes i cant see how this could be so much of an effort

regards joe,

EXACTLY I was only on the £21 a month plan with Mr Murdoch, that was 13 months ago, The Box was £80, someone else can do the maths..........

BTW get up today to find all channels back up and work on The Box 2. I guess there back using the last key, we'll see how long it lasts.

i think if you read the thread people are moaning about starview having there pants down! and recommending that people think twice before buying one
and all with good reason not just about the key fix! but they release buggy boxs , and instead of releasing firmware updates they just release new boxs and forget about the old ones
its got absolutely f*ck all to do with how much virgin packages cost starview know why you buying them ,that's the only reason why they make them !the point is once you bought it they don't give a sh*t and that's what people are upset about
all the other boxs are well supported if there's a problem with them they release a firmware to sort it and im not just talking about for fixing the keys ,that doesn't happen with starveiw they seem to have your attitude
"like it or lump it "
now when i was buying my "the box pvr " if they had said this is the only twin tuner pvr on the market but it doesn't actually work and when it does it wont work properly !oh and the epg is sh*t also the scanning is pretty p*ss poor and you'll be lucky to get all the channels and if you do they will disappear a few days after you found them and i don't think we will bother to bring out firmware to fix this then i possibly would have bought another box but instead feel i miss sold a load of sh*t and then promised there was firmware coming out to sort its problems last year well im still waiting and now im waiting for the key fix update too which i wont hold my breath for
so excuse us for not being all that impressed with starview there is no excuse for not supporting these boxs better !euro vox still support the red and blue boxs dbox is one of the oldest and was one of the first to get the fix and i have paid £200 and for that alone im entitled to moan all f*cking day long
i can only assume you are one of bransons b*tchies as you have had nothing constructive or intelligent to say

and for the feller that was asking about box recommendations the euro vox is a fantastic box that works well now but rumour has it that next year all these boxs will not work so on that i would say look it to linux boxs that wont be affected by v*rgin changing the description
take a look at the "dream box "and the "itgate" both popular and well recommended
and for every one else sorry for that im just sick of seeing idiots posting abrasive rubbish for no reason

I totally agree with boomer39 and Macabre, how much money has these boxes saved you people ? a lot, i can gaurantee. I have had my Starview 2 for awhile now and if i were to be paying vermin a subscription for the amount of channels i get,it would certainly have cost me a hell of a lot more than the £80 i paid for the Starview. If and when the new fix comes out i for one will be eternally grateful to all the people who put their time and considerable effort into updating these boxes for people like myself.
If others disagree with me then i think its time these people paid vermin a monthly subscription and stopped bitching in forums.
If i have upset anyone with my comments i am NOT sorry,i just dont think its fair on the people trying to help out with new codes/fixes
