so i've just got my box off ebay and i'm going through all these posts doing all the different things but it seems i have these files already, all of them except magic which i did last night. that's not too shabby considering the seller said that he "would not support" getting free cable.

hi mate my dream box 500 has gone down and i need to know how to get the channels back do you have any idea how to do this? and can you talk me through it as it is the first time i have a dream box

A quick update for the guide from post 1 of this thread:

Most the new images do not contain the cam files either, as well as the nagraram files, so in order to recieve non-FTA files you will need to obtain the magic files (in the Private FTA section) and follow these instructions: Transfering Magic Files

hey buddy, hope your well mate... I'm just inside the Private FTA Download Section but I can't seem to locate the magic files anywhere.. which folder are they stored in? and what are they named as? (eg. Magic files or DBOX2magicfiles, etc)

Should be ok but can't say for sure as i have never used that image , Try he new LHC2 image , I love this image , no frezzing or crashing , it's a nice stable image

ahh right, yehh sure I dont mind giving that (LHC2) a go as I really need to flash my dbox2, because for the last few weeks i've had to manually input new keys into my box after every key roll... and last week was a disaster as key rolls were taking place everyday lol.. im using the sportster image at the moment which has always been in their since I bought the box.
