Step by step guide to transferring the new Nagrarom7.bin file to Dbox2

My dbox2 was working fine after I uploaded the rom7 file via FTP last night but went off today. Is it because of keyroll?

Are you trying to flash the box, or just transfer the nagrarom7.bin file? If you want to carry out a flash you must transfer the flash file to the tmp folder and then follow the remaining steps in this tutorial: Step by step guide to transferring the new Nagrarom7.bin file to Dbox2

(The link suggests it is to transfer the Nagrarom7 file but it is actually for flashing the Dbox, just read the post and all will be clear hopefully)

humtum, you need to activate autoupdates in your cam. You can do this through the blue button menu using your remote control. Select evocamd, this is usually the best for most users.

raggy, it is most likely a problem with the connection. Check all the settings for your network card. Make sure everything is as suggested in the guide at the start of this thread.

Check the network settings on your network card, and are you using the correct cable? Must be a crossover cable if you are connecting through the network card. The linkspeed/duplex settings are important in the network card configuration, so please do not miss out any of the steps suggested in the guide at the start of the thread, and you should be ok

Im new to this forum and trying to connect my sagem dbox 2 to my laptop to update the new file but im having trouble connecting the box and laptop using the network settings as i have windows vista and the set up is different from XP.

Ive followed instructions up to that point but just cant get them connected,
any help would be much appreciated
