I can now connect to the box and browse to the var/keys directory.
However, I can't copy files over or delete files or anything - ftp operation always fails - any ideas? Last edited by Gordopolis; 04-12-08 at 09:43 PM. |

Go to the tuxbox commander using the blue button menu. Select the Keys folder (make sure you are not IN the folder) Press 1 (or the corresponding button for "rights" as at the bottom of the screen) Enable all 3 boxes. Save and exit out of tuxbox commander Reboot your box, and FTP again.

Hi SubZero
Sounds like exactly what I've been looking for - only trouble is, I don't have tuxboxcommander under the blue button menu (or submenu) that I can see. Top level blue menu is: Location Scanning Njl:World settings add channel to favourites Recording Play TS Timer list Lock RC Read EPG Clear EPG Cache Think I'm just being stupid - can you advise where I can find tbc? Cheers again

What optons does Njl:World settings give you? If it is not in menu's, do it via FTP, right click the keys folder>file attributes>enable everything.

Yeah - I tried that, ticked all the attribute boxes, then exited the dialog.
But on going back into the dialog, they had all reverted to original values (I assume the underlying ftp command failed). The only folders I can do anything with are the /tmp and /var/tmp folders - I take it they are not actual physical folders or something? Also, TwinTown suggests that my box has probably went readonly and I'll need to reflash it - does that sound like the way ahead? Thanks for your help so far |

Yeah, seems to be the simplest way forward. Theres a guide in this thread on how to flash so just follow that and you will be ok. Don't forget to back up your services and bouquets.

Thanks!
That reflashing guide looks straightforward. I know this might be a dodgy question, but where can I download images from? Ta |
