Default Re: Step by step guide to transferring the new Nagrarom7.bin file to Dbox2

Yehh i've just realised after working through these forums that i got ripped off lol oh well not much i can do now but yeh I could have got myself a fabulous HD box for that price... but we can only learn and move on!!!

Yeh my Dbox2 is a Nokia so i'll use the 2x image like you advised... Thanks for the download link, just to confirm before I attempt this:

- from the download link, i've gone into the following folders:
>>> D-box >>> 2x images >>> Sportster_ultra1[1].2x

- Is this the image file I should be popping into my NOKIA D-Box2 (via flash fxp) mate: sportster_ultra1.img?? or do i need to use a different image file for flashing?

I just want to be 100% sure whilst putting the correct image into my box.

Oh and lastly do i need to delete any of these files from my box before putting the above image into my box:

Autoupdate.Key
camd_cfg
Keylist.txt
nagrarom7.bin

I've only recently added the nagrarom7.bin file into my box, does that and the rest still need to stay in the box or shall I delete them off before flashing with the sportster_ultra1.img image?

Thanks mate!!!

Go for Blade Quad, or Lincsats images they're pretty good. Once you follow the flash instructions everything will be wiped from your box and a fresh install will be on there with all the files you need, so don't worry about deleting anything yourself, the flash will do that. If it's still not autoupdating (check by leaving it on skysports for around 5 mins) then transfer the new nagra file over. Don't forget to back up everything mentioned in the guide, like your services file etc...

Hey, does the guide contain info on how to back up the "services" and "bouquet"? I can't seem to find it on their unless my eyes are playing tricks on me lol

I'll probably just stick to the sportster_ultra1.img (2x image) for now as I'm already nervous about flashing my box for the 1st time and I don't wanna screw it up lol.. and since i'm used to the sportster image i might aswell use that but i'll defo try your recommended images once i become more confident with flashing.. unless of course if sportster is useless when it comes to auto updating the keys, then i may give the others a go?

Lastly, i can't seem to find the latest Nagrarom7.bin file in the downloads sections under D-box... has that been posted elsewhere in the forum? I already have the Nagrarom7.bin file in my box which is around 16kb. This was already in the box when I bought it so I'd prefer to try a fresh file from here if its been posted anywhere..

And should I add the new nagrarom7 file into my box after flashing with the new sportster image?

cheers mate and sorry i keep rambling on lol..

Your right, its not in the guide (post 17) lol If you want to back them up, go into /VAR/TUXBOX/CONFIG/ZAPIT/ on your dbox (through FTP), then copy and paste the bouquet and services files to your desktop. Then restore them as it mentions in the guide near the end
the latest nagra file is in the private FTA: ROM7 29_11_2008.rar
Im not sure if the sportster image includes it in the install, if not just add it using instructions from post 1.

Yep cool, if the nagrarom7.bin file isn't included in my d-box after I flash the box with the sportster_ultra1.img image, then i'll just manually add the nagrarom7 file into the box after flashing (via flash fxp)... and hopefully the box should automatically start updating the keys everytime there's a keyroll...

Thanks for pointing out that ROM7 29_11_2008.rar is infact the Nagrarom7 file lol.. i had no idea lol..

I'm just going to be going away for a while now, but once i'm back i'll defo give it a shot and get back to you if I have any trouble...

Thanks ever soo much for your help sub-zero you've been great mate!!!

Takecare and once i'm back and flashed my box, i'll defo let you know the outcome of it...

Cheers buddy!!!

Can some one please help me. I have had my nokia dbox for a little while and it recently lost all none fta channels. So i thought i would have a go at re-flashing the box. Ihave used Commando 11 on my box. I have tried to add the rom 7 file to my keys but i still only get fta channels. i have read all the previous posts but for some reason i can't get it to work. I read that i am supposed to delete nagrarom's 10 and 11 is it just those or all other nagraroms?? If somebody could post me a full guide on what to do after i have flashed my image it would be greatly appriciated as i must have spent a good 12 hours scouring fourums trying to solve this.
Thanks in advance
