Was wondering the same thing because as yet i havent updated the firmware and things are still working fine. Wonder if Virmin has realised there is a new firmware out so aren't bothering to roll the keys as often like they were doing.

Go to Menu and press the yellow button. Where you would normally enter your Vermin keys yes.
Change the keys to what ever you like. Then save the keys and go back to the tv channels. It should come up saying "Code Updating" etc. Once the tv is back on you will now no that the code is updated and it did it for you

I suppose you could go in manually and deliberately change the key. It should then take a miute or two to update itself.
I updated 1000 model. It had 000000... in the key before and it updated itself. |

Can someone tell if I am correct in thinking if the box doesn't have the new firmware, by manually entering the updated keys that means the box works with all the channels???

I am a bit of a non techy, I am looking at buying a Eurovox EX1000 someone told me I would have to update the firmware to get all the channels? If I don't do this am I still able to manually change the keys whenever they roll and therefore get all the channels that way?? Please help
