Default how do you connect eurovox and vm box to same tv

i am trying to connect eurovox maxv and my vm box to the same tv.i have a splitter but my problem is that i only have one scart available on my tv.at present i have one scart from the tv to the ev box and from there to my dvd recorder.i have tried connecting the vm box from the ev box using a scart and then on to the dvd recorder but it does'nt work.can any one please help.
i know this seems a strange set up but i work away and if the ev goes t*ts up again i want the missus to be able just switch over to the vm box.

Get a scart switch box from Maplins - you can plug up to 3 scart inputs in, and one output goes to your tv. You change which device you want to watch using switches on the box. Mine cost me about a tenner.

Hmm..
1) use another input source on your telly.. ie. audio/video, component? - get a scart to A/V adapter... called a Scart to RGB adaptor
2) get a scart splitter/switcher
