Default Silly Question, After the first power scan, how do I save channels?

Is it automatic, or is tehre a button to press? It's for a eurovox 5000pvr.

This is actually for a friend, he has his box at his and says after doing a power scan no channels are saved. I put new firmware on his box for him yesterday.

Cheers

...apparently not. I guess this makes me an idiot for not asking him this.

I'm wondering if maybe the firmware hasn't loaded correctly from the update I did for him?

I'd also like to point out that my own box is the same as his. I updated my firmware , plugged my box back in and it started working fine straight away, no need to rescan or anything.

This guy tried scanning for channels the first time on Thursday (obviously everything was down so he had no joy). WOuld it be worth a factory restore, and then scan again?
