Default feedback on blue boxes only both original and cloned

can we stick to this thread for blue boxes only please and can blue box owners please give feedback onto what has happened when theyve flashed their legit boxes and clones.

heres my feedback. 1 cloned box done withnew firmware no problems whatso ever, au in about 8 seconds no joke. another cloned box got problems dont know why had to jtag it back did everything else first before jtaggin such as flashed with clone safe firmware etc etc
another legit box done ok no problem, have had a couple of people with clones saying the new firmware isnt safe for clones so jtagged them back and told them to stick to inputting codes. i am not sure why as to some clones work some dont, some people will say its not clone safe yet some people will say no probs on cloned boxes
please give feedback in here if u can just to help out anybody with the blue boxes both cloned and original

i would say try the new firmware only if you know how to jtag it just in case. otherwise wait a couple of days for more feed back will keep you updated unless no one replies back on this thread

I flashed one of my Blue boxes and everything is working fine, I uploaded the channel data for the 1st time and once plugged back in no scan was needed, when the f/w found the box it came up with version 2.0 found.

Then I went onto my second box, this was flashed with the exact same April f/w as my other box, but when connected this time it came up with Version 2.1 found then "Not fit for you reciever"message....

Been on nights and asleep since I flashed the 1st box is still working fine, not even tried the 2nd yet, I will try different f/w on this box and report back.

No,

Back April when the last f/w came out, the same f/w did both boxes.

Both are legit boxes, not clones.

Now this f/w has done 1 box but says not fit for the 2nd box ?

I have 2 blue boxes. downloaded the new f/w last night on one of them-seemed to go on ok although i had to fiddle about changing USB ports till one was recognised-seemed to remember had to do this in April also.
All channels came back up-although poor reception (pixellating I think) on channels 15-24 (I don't channel manage!) and this has put me off doing my second one! Autoupdated A OK after today's roll!

Have just noticed that the frequency on all these "bad channels" is 346 Mhz-is adjustment to this likely to sort it out?
Opinions most welcome!

Sorry fo being ignorant, but what's JTAG?
Keith

now i have no picture or menu and 0001 in the display
reading through the posts im running out of ideas
repeating what space54 said can anyone explain or give a clue what jtag is

Hi similar problem to above...
I have updated 4 eurovox max (blue) boxes with the new firmware update. so far 3 are working fine, but one stopped working today (updated it yesterday). The box is stuck on ch 8000 - with no picture, no menu etc...
I'm quite new to this so not sure if i have 'bricked' it - but have updated all these boxes before with the last firmware (21/04/08) and had no problems.
Any ideas would be welcome,
Thanks.

concept 122 go into menu>config>clear data> delete all channles>then factory default, put in correct symbol rate if asked if not make sure u on full and should sort that out hopefully

jtagging is bringing dead boxes back to life which are usually due to a bad firmware flash etc

i have had them codes appear on one clone but it was stuck on 3770 or osmething like that i jtagged it and now all is ok well 1st jtag had worked for abit then messed up then jtagged it again and all is ok.
when jtagging u will realise sometimes ur scart av does not work there is a fix to this which is rather simple.

Question Re: feedback on blue boxes only both original and cloned

I have updated 4 genuine blue boxes and have had no problems however I also unknowingly flashed 3 clone blue boxes and now one is sayin 2323 another is 0000 and another is 0001. I cannot access menu or do anything with these cloned ones and I have no idea how to Jtag so I guess I will have to send them somewhere to be Jtaggged.

P.S I f anybody knows where I can send them to be Jtagged I would be grateful for a pm

Thank you
