latest an best image ???

First of all just want to thank the creators of the site, an secondly an most importantly to all the people who help an guide all the newbies an just in general everyone else here, without u guys an the knowledge shared by some of the people on here a lot of us noobs wudnt have a clue,

back to my main question, im a complete newb but thanks to this site an one other source of information, ive manage to learn in less than 24 hours, everything i need to know about my dbox so far lol whereas before i wud just take it to sum1 else to fix an didnt have a clue, ive managed to load the latest sportster image as thats what i hade before , i just wanted to know as there are so many different images availaible for the Dbox2, what is the best an latest recommended image for an ex T**eW*St area wich gived the most an best channels ?? or shud i just stick to what i was happy with before ?

lincsats beta 7.25 full image is the latest i think and u should get all channels after a scan or ftp your bouquet over

is that the best image to get the best of all available channels ?? an is it as simple as the previous procdure of replacing the image way i did for the sportster image,
oh an as for the bouquet lol ill definitely remember that next time lol as i had to re-scan an re-edit all my folders an channels again, didnt realise how easy it was to save those files an just load them back after, well fingers crossed my box is still scanning with the new sportster image an ill see how it goes,
jus another curiousity. if i save my bouquet an channel files from the sportster image an then change the image to the new lincsat one, will those same files work an load everything as normal, or wud be better off doing a whole new scan after the lincsat image is loaded as im assuming i may pick some other channels wich mite have nor been on the other image ?

the procedure is the same and channels are'nt restrcited by an image u can do a scan or after flashing u can just tranfer your bouquet over and it will overwrite the ones on the image

so is there any benefit in changing my image from sportser to the lincsat?, i mean is there any difference as to the number of channels i might pick up on the new image ?

nah m8 u get the same channels on every image..well i have and ive probably experimented with most out there...

Cheers but im just having serious problems now an so damn confused lost now
ive managed to load the the full lincsat 7.25 image, now when i went to put my folders for channels an boquet i cant seem to access the dbox anymore
it jus says
FTP Folder Error

An error occurred opening the folder on the FTP server, make sure you have permission to acces this folder.

Details:
550 Failed to change directory

as i was using windows explorer an now i cant even get to the files or folders to try an load a different image

am i missing something ? is this the rigth steps
load the image u want to in this case the lincsat full, flash the box then replce the saved boquet an channel files or do a huge major long channel scan all shud work fine

its juts not happening for me, where am i going wrong ??

Maybe the Lincsat image has changed the IP address to a different address to the one you expected it to be? Check on the network setup for the IP address and then you should be able to connect to the 'new' address.

(I hope thats clear? What I mean is you need to go to the setup menu on the Dbox, to go network, then view the IP address, then try connecting your FTP software to that address)
