Hi guys,
updated the firmware, and everything running fine, got all my channels sorted. I've noticed though that some channels are still scrambled. All the Disney Channels, and Sky Premier. Any ideas? It was doing this before I updated the firmware. They worked for fine for months, but the channels changed to 'scrambled channel' about 2 weeks ago. Don't even get 'code updating' on these channels. The codes have updated a few times lately, but still these channels are scrambled. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried wiping channels and rescanning, but they are still scrambled. |

that doesn't help.
I've already search everywhere I can think but come up with no answers. as you can see this is my second post (first was the question) that's because I've managed to find things without having to post before. Can anyone help? or post the link to a post that can? |

how do you mean scrambled? do you get a picture that is broken up, do you get whitenoise or a frozen picture, or what?
if you get a broken or frozen picture, have a look at this post: w w w. tech watch. co . uk / for ums/ 10023-jumpy-channel-long-wait-fix. ht ml (remove spaces - as I don't have 10 posts under my present username, I can't post links which I think is a stupid idea esp for internal links) he recommends a change of 0.5, but I've found you may have to go to 0.7 also, in favourites/preview, have a look at the channel frequencies of the scrambled channels, and see if they are all on the same few frequencies. If so, the trick above will sort out all those on the same freq, usually 3 or 4 channels. there is also the possibility of the signal to you being poor on one of two frequencies. if that don't work, you'll have to describe the problem again. you need to check your cables and connections are ok, although a problem there should affect all channels, any on a weaker strength might be affected more. as far as i know, all the channels are unlocked by the same keys, so its not possible for only some channels to still be locked. |

Thanks for some responsive answers, but no, I don't have a jumpy picture or long wait.
The channels I mentioned come up with a black screen, then a box saying SCRAMBLED CHANNEL. Here's a list of the ones that I've found have this problem: All Disney Channels Sky Premier Sky Modern Classics Hallmark (& +1) ITV 3 for more details, I'm on C&W freq - 6952 Like I said previously, they worked fine for months, but last 2 weeks, they have been off. Getting 84% signal approx on the channels, and nothing has changed since before they went off. Last edited by danlat1415; 02-12-08 at 08:18 PM. |
