Are you using USB or serial?
If the box has become totally unresponsive, try a forced dowload. Use the official firmware and start the loader with the receiver OFF at the back, the quickly turn it on once you have started the loader program. |

Try this method, it should work with the 3000 series
![]() How to recover your TM1000 after a failed update Make sure you use the Loader of the TM website and the original TM firmware. Its best to wait a few hours after a new patch has come out just to see if there are any problems with it ![]() ![]() Nano

It is normally quite difficilt to trash them completely, I've resorted to the forced download method a number of times, and it has always worked. But obviously don't use the software that bu99ered it up in the first place. As nano says, sometimes the latest software is not magic at all, and gets stuck halfway through a download. Also make sure you are using the correct software for your box.

Probably
![]() I've installed about 10 of the 3000 series this week and not had a problem with any of them. ![]() Might sound stupid but have you considered the problem may be your PC not the TM ? If your using a USB to serial converter then thats your problem. They are notoriously unreliable ![]() I know you call it a bag of s**t but what do you expect for £40. At the end of the day its a free to air receiver, nothing else. Why would it need anything else other than a serial port ![]() I brick them all the time and i've never had any problems bringing them back from the dead ![]() ![]() Nano

I have used one, and once it works it works, but I got fed up with in when it didn't, so I now use a PC with a proper serial port on it. If the box has been patched with the wrong firmware, and it is still on there, then the supplier may refuse to refund or exchange it. What is the current status of it? Dead as a dodo? |
