Is it the new The Box USB? or the slightly older The Box PVR?

From the Wiz site it says you update by putting FW on a usb stick. Probably a menu option under 'system' or something like that to update from USB stick.

Null modem = a type of cable.

There is software to install the latest firmware onto your box, but there's no point as the latest fw doesn't support automatic key roll.

If it just says The Box on the front its a starview 2 and there is no new firmware for it so manually imputting keys for now is your only option.
