Default Rumour???

I heard from someone today that I should turn my box off till friday as v**m are sending down a signal that will blow one of the chips said one of their mates who works there.

Any1 spread any light on this or is it just one of those scare tactics again because we all managed to find new firmware?

You best unplug your box,put it in a suitcase, dig a hole in your garden (10 foot sholud be deep enough) pop it in and fill the hole up.

Or tell your mate hes talking sh*te

They can locate them at 10 feet, make it about 30 yards, you should be safe then. Especially if you lock yourself in the shed and don't come out for 6 months.

It's the only safe way, sorry.

OK mate...count to 10 and....breath...
What you've got to appreciate (and probably already do) is that some of these guys/galls (including occasionally moi) get fed up constantly repeating themselves as a result of people who simply can't be arsed doing some of their own donkey work. Occasionally, a member such as yourself may post with good intent and inadvertantly become the target of someones frustration. The frustration, i'm sure you also realise, is not as a direct result of your actual post but borne of that outlined above ie. those others who can't be arsed!!! Don't take it to heart (and i understand why you do) but just understand...take care, i love the world, hug a tree, and calm the fook doon

I understand what you are saying I'm a forum mod on another site and as this one is its for people to find info and to get help with problems that they may encounter.

I am fully aware of peoples problems when new threads are created because people don't either use the search or just look at other threads.

But I feel that two of the threads I have started in the past few days were justified as being useful to people even though it was only a rumour to give people who may have heard this aswell to be able to know that it was only a 'Rumour'.

Your right it did rattle my cage a bit but again the only reason for that was because I felt that it was a valid thread.
