You can get most of thst info here:
FlySat Sat List Dont worry about modulation - that will be the same (probably mpeg2) for all the channels unless the receiver does HDTV

Oh yes
 HD parameters will be shown on the charts - although I dont think theres any HD channels operating specifically into the Middle East at the moment - maybe by this time next year. One of the fta channels on Hotbird is your best bet for HD.

Here's a screenshot by screenshot of manually scanning Nilesat,which should get you on your way,hopefully.
(Taken from the Humax Foxsat HD,which was disconnected from the satellite dish,hence no signal quality/strength) |

Can't thank you enough guys for the help, here is what i did... i've rolled back the box to default settings and the start up wizard appeared:
1- Language: English 2- Time Region: Country: Other, GMT Offset: GMT+3 3- Connection Type: Next (Don't click Skip) 4- Default Channels: at this point i started adding my satellites: a: Hotbird: Box default settings were fine b: NileSat: I've changed the DiSEqC Inpute from disable till if found one that gave me a full quality bar 5- Searched for channels 10 minutes later i have over 1000 channels and i started to love the box!. Again thanks for all the help... hopefully someone else can find this thread helpful! Regards, Derek |
