Its illeagal for you to re-broadcast either a TV or Film in a public place but not for viewing in a Private home, as for foreign football through satellite Its a very grey area currently, as until it is ruled either way in the European High Court, however I know of publicans being taken to court and tried for showing afternoon footy through Sky Italia or Nova on Hotbird, but as they are using cards supplied in the EU they have still been able to continue showing the games, however for cards supplied outside the EU like DigitALB or ART they can and have been successfully prosecuted, as these providers do not have the rights to show the football within the EU!

What if the Pub was closed ( or whatever venue) and it was a private showing on an OFFICIAL subsciption card - where would you stand then.
