Eurovox Blue Error code 1027??

Flashed the new firmware onto two boxes last night, all went well on one box (I think!!) but the other was working fine until i changed channel, the screen froze (like it sometimes does), and then went blank.

The display now shows an error code: 1027

Tried reflashing the firmware but this didnt do anything.

Anybody seen this before or if you give me any help, it would be much appreciated.

Having got home and one box is still working and is now auto updating, the other box is still showing an error code.

My only assumption now, having had a good look on the net, is that one of my boxes is a real Eurovox Blue and one is a clone.

I have downloaded a PDF file highlighting what to look for, as most people on here seem to suggest you should look at the screws holding the main board in place - I have red screws in both boxes!!

The only difference i can really highlight for people is on the power board, in my working box, there are a bunch of green capacitors which are missing from the other box.

So if anyone else is getting error codes, it would seem that, like me, you have flashed a cloned box!! Big oops!!!

So my big question is...

How easy is it to rectify this if i have flashed a cloned box??

I have heard of people talking on here about a process called Jtag or something?

Yes a j-tag might be the soloution m8,

Getting more info off peeps there seem to be some that when they use the new firmware it works on their clones thats good news for them, but still do be careful if you do try it and always have a jtag kit at hand it cant hurt
if you manage to brick your box then heres how to jtag
list of things you will need 1) jtag kit 2) skymax software 3)tsop for your box
now heres what you do

1) connect jtag
2)After connecting jtag turn box on and wait until it has booted
3)Open sky max.
4) Select 2mb
5)click connect
6)click,erase, should say successful
7)click write, window will open select the tsop file for example (2006tsop(blue).bin or select the correct tsop for what ever your box is
8)should now write to eurovox wait a couple of minutes
9) if 'ram fail' shows dont worry turn box off then on and you should see 0000 or 0001 on lcd, thats it your done

dont worry ur remote wont work yet so scan for channels, do erase channels first the default and full scan

if u need to then just reflash with safe clone firmware

b4 u do jtag try the other method of diconnecting scart and use a coxial cable go to the toher thread of blue box clone and original of mine see if it works its worth a try but if it doesnt then defo jtag, carter john lol is that from my post lol, maybe not

Funnily enough, the box that isnt working was already being run through the RF rather than the scart as the TV in my bedroom only has one scart, so my DVD runs through it!!

So, it looks like i've defo bricked it!!

Just ordered a cable and the software off Fleabay for £8 (I'll prob got ripped off for these now as well!!!) So i'm gonna try Jtagging it now

Oh, yeah!! The one thing i dont understand is...

How come when i flashed both boxes in April, they were fine, but now i have done this and discovered that one is a clone?

Surely this should have happened last time as well????

yep looks like a jtag then mate for u
do u get a blank screen

could u try this just give it a shot disconnect everything else (shouldnt matter but just do it lol) now uve already got the coxial cable form eurovox tv/vcr to back of tv, do a normal scan for channels on ur tv mate try it see if it picks up anything, if it does it should be the screen asking for code its worth a shot b4 u jtag

jtagging is easy mate anyway while ur waiting for ur jtag download skymax actually u should get the cd with ur jtag with everything on it if u still need any help carter and i are here but hopefully u will jtag no problem
