Guys, I'm stuck. I've tried searching for the answer on the forum but can't find the answer to my question. So....
I updated the latest firmware yesterday (dated 1/12/08) for my PVR EX5000. However, when I plugged it in, the keys for 5c01 were all set to 00's. Do I need to do a deep scan after a firmware update? Or should a 'quick install' (which I did) be the thing to do? I've just noticed the keys have rolled again today, and the keys have not changed (so I need to manually update again)... Have I done something wrong? I'm certain I've put the latest firmware on, as all my favourites needed re-setting, and I understand this is an issue relevant to the new firmware only. I'm very grateful for any help...cheers |

I didn't need to do anything with channels - they were in exactly the same order as before I isntalled the latest fw - I don't really use the favourites so can't vouch for that. I think the keys do get set to 0s with the new fw, however just switch to SS1 and it should get the new keys - may take a couple of mins tho.
What date does it show in system info - should be Oct 28th 2008. |

Hello, try switching off for a few minutes then put it on SSports1 and let it update, should be no more than a few minutes hopefully.

Thanks people.
In the end I flashed it again and it seems to work fine now. Will know over the next day or two when the keys roll over, fingers crossed. |
