Odd problem

Hi - I have a black virgin 256 flashed with infinite.
I was getting throttled I think - I was getting speeds of 10mg which went down to a consistent speed of 3mg even though speed tests were coming back as 10mg. Anyway - I changed macs to see if I could get a higher speed. I have been able to do this no problem in the past by plugging the modem out of my wireless router and into an ethernet cable as normal and using the mac changer.

However,it didnt work this time- when renewing the ip address it sent me a dummy config file and the ip expired 30 seconds after it was leased. This happened on all the different macs I tried including the one which was working fine originally. Anyway, I tried it in a different computer in case there was some kind of network conflict but it made no difference - still no internet connection.

Whats really odd is that when I went back through the router on the original mac it worked and reconnected to the net. I can only assume my computer remembered the connection and used an ip address it had already been leased or something?? Any ideas? Im connected okay at the minute - it just means I cant change macs or use the computer without the wireless router plugged in.

You sure you didnt change any other settings last time you flashed it? Such as download frequency? TFTIP? Annex? Etc...
