the new fix for starview 2 the box au fix is numbered as 8.02 i am currently only running firmware 4.51 does this matter and does anyone know the procedure to update my box many thanx in advance

Does the fix definateley work? Will it AU so I don't have to enter keys?

same here

i've tested the update and it didn't work, i'm not sure if it's because i updated from 4.51 or if it's the loader i used

i used v4.03_051005.exe to load the update, to get the box working again i used the loader and software that came with it (GTRom v4.00.exe & thebox_UK_H20070709_451eE_api.bin)

i'll try updating to 4.54 when i've got time and then see if i can get the update to work

I have Starview 2 (The Box). Will it work with this? I don't want to brick it as I don't have a JTag for it.

Sorry to disappoint you all, however the starview 2 fix did not work and the software has been taken off the downloads section on the bigmaq toolbar.
I managed to download the firmware and flashed my box, however it did not work.
I have reinstalled the 4.51ee firmware and it is working for now.
Will wait for take 2 on starview 2 firmware.

when I connected my SV2 using the RS232 and turned on the box at the wall, the display did not come on. Have I killed the box? Would be grateful for any advice!
