Haha, a Funcard is basically a card that you can program to receive free Cable TV channels. You program it with information from the box you are using and a flash file for your area.

A fun card is smart card wih a AVR AT90S8515 processor which has installed a 512 internal eeprom (inteep) and can be purchased with different external eeprom sizes. For our purposes we need 8K for the image so anything above that is not required unless you are using it as a logger. The basic fun card comes with the 24C64 external eeprom which does the job. These cards can be used for a number of applications security door entry systems etc coders put together some software which simulates the nagra1 code in the rom10 cards. The software is a very shortened down version of this code because this card does not need to deal with a lot of the house keeping routines that a genuine card does the fun card is programed with code sufficient to provide you with TV. The card is loaded with a flash file to flash memory which is the simulation software that has been programed to auto update the keys and a nagra edit image to external eeprom that is configured for your box. Generally considered a cheap and cheerful card easy to program but will always require a new flash when the keyroll method changes but does the job surprising well.
