am updating a starview 2 the box for a m8, have downloaded the new software 3/12/08 today, but when connected is not working, on appears on the small screen on box but a blank black screen on tv, can anyone help with giving me, or directing me to full instructions including logos etc, or explaining where i've gone wrong

Sorry to disappoint you, however the starview 2 fix did not work and the software has been taken off the downloads section on the bigmaq toolbar.
I managed to download the firmware and flashed my box, however it did not work.
I have reinstalled the 4.51ee firmware and it is working for now.
Will wait for take 2 on starview 2 firmware.

maybe problem is with boxes that previously hadnt had the logo file flashed and upgraded to 454

there is another fix for the starvi*w 2 the box and i used the bigmaq toolbar fix and it worked, it only does not work on clones !!!!!!!!! you must of used it on a clone if you are allowed to put fix's on here i will that works 100% but if not sorry

Just done my mates and it DOES work, just followed this tut
1) Start up loader (V4.03)
2) Choose Your BIN file Ie the fixed firmaware file.
3)Click 'download' and wait for it to fin.
4)Reboot
5)rescan
6) press 'menu' then 1570 to bring up secret menu and turn Emu on.
