Default starvi*w2 the fix please read

hi all those who have a starvi*w2 the box the new fix does not work on clones !!!!!!!!!! if you think it is a clone don't use as it will brick your box, there will be a fix asap for clones so wait, also you will need to use the loader that is with the new fix, otherwise it will not work, and make sure you factory reset you box before you start, then do as you do and wait for the update this can take upto a few minutes before you are up and running

JokerJay
I wish I had read this thread before I tried to flash mine.
I have a SV2( Impretty certian its not a clone) and I have just flashed the new fix onto it in work( I dont have a serial port on my pc at home) anyway It has come up as completed but on the LCD screen on the front fo the box it is just showing as " ON" and Im sure thats what happens when its not booting up properly, I wont know for certain until I take it home and try it but I reckon its not right. How much difference will it make if I havent done the factory reset before the fix was downloaded onto it? and if that is the issue can I repair it somehow?
I would be grateful of any help anyone can give me on this.
By the way I have reflashed the box again and it does show the 95% etc as it loads up on both the pc and the LCD screen.

I had to re-flash the logo backround file again for the new firmware to work

Thanks LUFC boy I'll try that, is there a version of the 4.51 knocking about that i can install? Its showing"on" so I think if I just restart installing everything from the start again it might help?
4.51- then 4.52 with background logo- then latest one 3rd dec.

I have read on other forums that you need 4.54 loaded in order for the new 8.02 to work also. I will pm you with a link to safe files.
