can't change ip address of dbox2?

Hi,

I attempted to change the ip address of my dbox2 last night. Edited it via settings>Network>Ip address. The new ip is displayed on the Network screen, but when I hit 'Test Active Network Settings', it still shows the old ip.

I've tried combinations of restarting the network, rebooting etc in between adding my new ip and testing the active network settings, but always the same result.

Is my ip address 'fixed' somehow?

ah! does this have to be off to allow me to change IP?

Try putting the settings shown on your dbox2 on to the pc. It should still connect ok as long as you make the ip address of the pc one number different e.g if the ip address of your dbox is 192.168.000.224 make the ip address of the pc 192.168.000.223 and keep all other settings between the two exactly the same. Make sure if using flash fxp that you enter the address of the dbox and not the laptop.
