Hi guys, firstly I would like to say thankyou very much for all your hard work which makes it possible for people to get free channels.

I have a starview 2 box and I know how to connect it to my PC with the null modem cable but what else do I have to do? ie do I have to go to a cas menu whatever that is?

do you have the up loader 4.03?

bring up your uploader, click on bin file and select your 8.02 firmware and download.

If your using 4.51, you will probs have to load 4.54 first and then the logo file as background file first, then 8.02.

hello, sorry to but in on this thread but i've got the same problem, got SV 2 with 4.51 on it i've got 4.54 and new firmware but i've got no loader, where can i get loader? i've loaded on to sat boxes but not cable, is it the same procedure? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

hi can i ask somethin i have two starview 2 infront of me i am yet to load them because one has 25x7 vents the other 20x8, but everythin else spot on any suggestions? thanks

From memory, 25 x 7 is correct? One of them is almost certainly a clone, I think it's the 20 x 8 one.

thats wat i thought but inside the 20x8 one its got a samsung chip which is supposed to be genuine, any ideas?

Yeah mate ive got the uploader 4.03 and ive got 8.02 firmware. Whats 4.51 / 4.54 mean? sorry about the ignorance but im a complete beginner

its the software versions 4.51 , 4.54 up to 8 one which is newest i think u need to upgrade because newer ones use logobg background file sure 4.51 never came with it hence probs with people updating there fta software
