Default The Box PVR

Anyone got one?
What are your thoughts on it?
Does it handle keyrolls effectively?

Looking for a 2nd cable box, will demote the Eurovox V MAx 2008 to another room and use a PVR box in the main one.
The Box with PVR seems good, but i need to know from owners what its really like.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Dont touch it with a barge pole - the twin channel thing doesnt work, recording is hit n miss, and there is no fix out for the latest VM update

Blimey! Thanks for the info guys.
I've no problems with my eurovox, but i'd heard a few horror stories regarding the EV5000 pvr, so was looking at alternatives.

i did exactly what you wanted to do i demoted my euromax v2008 to the be room and bought one of these worst thing i ever did! now the pvr is in the bedroom i wish id just bought another eurovox at half the price the eurovox is a fantastic box in comparason to the box pvr
i dont know what the new starview boxs are like but if there even slightly similar to the box pvr i wouldnt touch them either
if your gonna get a new box you need to be looking at a linux box just for future aparantly next year virgin are changing the encription methords and euro vox , starview and a few others wont be able to deal with that
try looking into " dreambox" or the one i fancy is "itgate" they both get really good review and are well suported as well i beleive
just be very warey of starview and there are a lot of starview fan boys on the forums that tell you there really good but thats how i ended up buying the pvr and yes i am bitter lol
