I want to buy a lead to connect my box to my pc for the software update my neighbour has one but it goes into the back of the pc which on mine is already used by my monitor is there one you can use through a usb or another socket.If there is what are they called as i dont have a clue where to start looking thanks peeps.

I got this USB connection as I have a laptop

USB to RS232 RS-232 Serial Cable Converter Adapter PC42 on eBay, also, Adaptors, Cables Connectors, Computing (end time 24-Nov-08 18:11:29 GMT)

you need a null modem cable.. & a rs232 to usb converter..
