What box do I have

I am confused to what cable box I actually have as so many and versions.

It is silver with black front display with green LED and says The Box on front left side.

I bought as new 12 months ago and it has a null cable port.

It has accepted the Starview keys and carried on working then my friend updated it using the Starview fix which was released Nov 30.

Now it wont work the tv does not find it and it just displays "on" in the display and the remote does nothing?

Can you help? do I need different fix or can I undo the update if it was wrong?

you have a starview 2 model (could be genuine or clone ???)

The update this had was "thebox_UK_H20070709_451eE_api.bin" and had the GTRom v4.00 files with it

This was supplied with that update so does that help identify if it is a clone or genuine?

I just need to get this back working so I am stuck with what to do now!!

mine is a genuine SV2 and I had that firmware on it.

I dont know what update it actuall had when I got it so since last Decemember I had never touched it!!

If I missed any updates and my friend has just updated the latest would this be a problem if any earlier updates were not installed?

All that happens now is since my friend updated my tv does not find the box and it just has "on" in the display and the remote has no effect??

It was working fine with doing the manual key updates but since it hads the latest SV2 update the box seems dead??

I think it was April time when 451ee came out.
if you have a read of some of the posts in the starview forum you will find that some updated straight from 451e (me included) but others had to load 454 firmware first

try the v4 54 fiemware first then the box logo file then the new 802e.
