Default th box pvr - V*in encryption

whoever - I have had a search but not found what I am looking for...

I have as the title suggests TheBoxPVR for all my sins but has actually worked quite well.

I believe V have recently buggered about and all I can get now are the F2A channels - although it still picks up all(wrt chanel info etc).

Is there anything I can do to sort this out?

Cheers

Thanks for the help on that what is required in my situation - fair enough I can flash the box - however I don't believe (although I will happily be proved wrong) that there is any new firmware for the The Box PVR? E_Ver 4.506.

I am also assuming thet the method to flash is the same as the link provided above refering to a eurovox as for the TheBoxPVR?

From a scoot around the forum it would seem that all boxes of my breed are down at the moment... but seems unconclusive from the responses?

Does the problem just relate to the autoupdate (codes) - i.e. could enter them manually or is it a bit more than that?

Cheers in advance

no there is no firmware fix for the box pvr at the moment and no its total different to flash nothing like euro vox
im just suprised to hear that your pvr worked well as i have same box and its been nothing but a frustration and a trouble to me nothing but regrets for me
ive been looking on other sites about this box there was a posibility that it may get a firm ware update to fix issues with the box but that was befor the key situation but all is quiet on the subject cant seem to find any answers at the moment ,rumours are that the box is not suported any more but they just released a fix for the starview 2 which is simaler to ours just no pvr funtion but that wont work on ours so i could still get a fix
you can just keep updateing the key manualy till (if) the new firmware comes out there are post s on the starview forums to help you with that but if you get stuck let me know

Thanks for that response - very helpfull and actually answered questions

I had a go at updating the keys manually last night. I have always been able to pick up Smelly W, and Ex Table & W so tried them both but with no joy - Picks up all the chanels on a scan and will still get the decrypting % when you select a channel but never gets past that (no matter how long you leave it) Just the F2A.

Got the K's from TBC.cc. (hope its ok to put that here?!!)

Is it an issue of the actual encryption being used that has changed or is there a chance that I am just being a bit retarded and doing things a little wrong?! I suppose always that chance!!

Cheers in advance.

sounds like you might have done it wrong as i can get premium channels on mine when i change keys manually
did you save each key separately ? by that i mean set the whole of 00 key then press ok before you move on to the 01 key then save that one too and make sure automatic emu is turned on let me know if that helps im in a rush at min or i would have given you a more detailed help

Cheers for that ste tails. I had save each key after realizing this was my first mistake however I had turned off the emu as my thought process told me do things manually no automatic!! Will give it a go when I get home.

Much Cheers for the help so far.
