help the box 2

hi can someone help me please, im new to all this and do not know what i am doing. i read someone's post and did what they instructed to do. But now all i have is a blank screen and it says ON on the actual box. This is what i did - i downloaded loader 4.03 then clicked bin file and downloaded app file only and the screen has gone blank and box says ON. Then i done like it said on he post same bin file background data file download and the screen is stil blank and box says on. Is there anything i can do to fix the box? can someone please help it would be much appreciated. thank you

What are you trying to flash it with 4.51 or 4.52 or 4.53 or 4.54. I'm sure that someone will correct this if I'm wrong but its only 4.53 & 4.54 that need flasing with the BG file and of course the new fix 8.02. If you 1st flash 4.51 then flash 4.54 then flash thr BG file only then flash 8.02 use GTRom 4 to flash 4.51 then use GTRom 4.03 only to flash the later firmware hope this helps.

BEWARE IF YOUR BOX IS A CLONE THIS FIRMWARE WILL BRICK IT

i do not know what it was to start with, i flashed 4.54 with the loader 4.03 and it's got the blank screen and box is saying ON, the computer only selects app file only all the rest of the selections are in faded grey and i can not select them for background data. Any ideas for what i could do. Once again thank you

4.54 on GTrom4.03 is apps only then flash the BG file after. Run GTrom4.03 browse for the bglogo file (Mines called thebox_logobg.bin) open the file and select Background data file on GTrom4.03 all the others will grey out then download. Make sure it is the bg file though Hope this helps

THIS WORKS
i flashed my firmware which was 4.51 to 4.54 + logo file and then to 802e
on the gtrom ver 4.03 make sure you download 4.54 bin file as 'app file only
then when you download the logo file make sure you download is as 'background data file
then finally download the 802e bin file as 'app file only'

how would u know if ur box is a clone

Hi, i flashed the starview 2 with Satrview 2 thebox-v8.02with-loader, clicked on app only and downloaded thebox_H20071130_802E_api.bin. now the box just says on with a blank scrren.
