flashing a starview2
im trying to update /flash my starview 2 box. but i dont have a serial port on my laptop so im haveing to use a usb/serial adaptor.
i read that the g,rom firmware needs to comuicate to the box thru a com3 port. in my device manager(win xp) on my laptop the is no com/lpt port in the listing. how can i update my starview can anyone help. laymans terms would be apprieciated. |

Attach your "null modem lead" to the serial USB lead don't use a gender changer as I dont think it works very well. Did windows install the driver for the device?? or do you have a driver disc.
