M mate has given me his starview to update, never done this before on this make.
His box says The Box Super, from what ive read that is Starview 3 right? Ive read around about which software to install etc eg, dont load 8.02 staright away on box 2. does the same go for this starview 3 or can i do it straight to 8.02. Now another question, he forgot to give me the remote ![]() Is it still possible to do the scan and go into then menu 1570 without the remote to turn off emulator. as i said im beginner so is this the right process for "the box super" and is that rightly starview 3. So can i just download 8.02, plug in and press download or do i ned to install other first. And then can i finish set up without remote cheers Oh forgot to add, is this update like the eurovox and kryptview? by that i mean i dont have to put new keys everyday Last edited by thegame24; 05-12-08 at 03:01 AM. |

Starview 3 The Box super has its own Firware/Loader so there is no need to do the BG file. Not sure if you can flash SV3 on standby you can SV1+2 so having the remote makes no odds. If you have a Starview then your remote should work.
Ooops = Yes you need the remote for the secret menu

Ive got the 8.02 file shall i just download it straight onto the box like eurovox does. what do you mean on standby? I just plug the box in and connect the null then press download right? Should the box be on off, standby, channel on????? |

Sorry its late/early my brain is dead for some bizarre reason I had this thought that you could not switch the box on without the remote. (how stupid is that) anyway make sure that you have the correct firmware as SV2 and SV3 The box super versions are both called 8.02 and it should be a straight forward download as your own box.

Sorry no the Box does not have to be on Standby forget I even mentioned that stuff. Yes it is a fix no key update required although I have noticed that when mine updates it does two or three passes. your file should be named something like this GTRom_Super_8.02e.exe.
