Default Data being updated....[0%]

Hello all, new to the forum. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read my post.

So my girlfriends Mam has a Starview that wasn't working, (not sure if it's 1 or 2, how can you tell?), same one that I have.

I took it home, reset factory settings, and switched on EMU etc. and got Data being updated 0%. I saw on a forum somewhere if you changed the channel to either Sky Sports or BBC1 it would upload.

And it did.

So silly me, when I reconnected my own box, I was missing some channels and I went through the exact same process, except this time, no upload happening.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks

If you have a Starview 2 It will be called "The Box" if you have a Starview 1 then I don't think anyone has written a fix yet

Jokerjay, I will try Discovery channel when I get home from work, thanks.

Boomer39, I've had this thing for a year now, and I've so much as had a computer within 10 feet of this thing, if thats the way firmware is installed. I wouldn't be too arsed trying to get null mdem cables and all that jazz either, looking for a quick fix I suppose,, lazy me!

But when I went to Sky Sports on my girlfriends Mam's box it updated whatever it was to update just fine, so i can only assume that my box should be capable of doing the same.

Thanks again for all the replies everybody, muchos gracias,
I'll spot yis a pint if you're in Dublin any time soon!

If you don't want to install the latest firmware, you'll just have to stick with the Keymaster and manually input the keys yourself.

Do you have the Keymaster?
