@WILHELM You can get a USB to RS232 cable which should get u sorted. Make sure the drivers are in though as USB comms need drivers.
Also, avoid using a VISTA PC for these op's as VISTA's security levels are a lot higher than XP's so it can throw a spanner in the works! I always use an XP PC with a serial I/O port. This has always worked. You can buy these & simply plug it into your MB with no worries as the drivers are built into XP. @redsfan; thanks for the link, I've registered & will try to help in there once I'm sorted & their site has finished moving hosts. It sounds like your either using the wrong f/w (use middle one on kaos) or your not getting the keypad presses right. That one caught me out (cheers cyclone). ps: Your loader should auto pick the rs232 cable up on COM1 port. pps: is there a link to a tut on these boxes as I cannot find one? |
