Default 19.2E Astra on Sky DigiBox

I got my dish pointed at 19.2e astra satellite
Went into engineer menu on skybox and changed the FET to 3/4 and left the default transponser as it was. Used the find channels option, and it finds loads of other channels (MTVNHD, MusicMax, DMax, France 5 ect). I add them to the Other Channels page, but when i go to view them, the screen just says :

FOR YOUR INFORMATION 36
No satellite signal being received

But the Signal Test page shows that the signal is fine
Any ideas why?

What frequency are you typing into the add other channels menu?

The Sky box is rubbish for use on satellites other than 28E, it is better to get a cheap FTA receiver and use that instead

Because uncle rupe has nobbled them so they only work with Sky

The boxes throw a wobler if they aren't on 28.2e for most of the time

A question you don't know the answer to is never dumb. To the best of my knowledge a SKY box will only work o Astra 28 but have never tried one on another sat.

They do/did work Charlie, as I used to use mine on 19.2E quite regularly, and then swivel it back to 28E again, perhaps they've nobbled the software even more over the the last couple of years.

It is strange.
The fact that you are scanning in channels, which clearly are from Astra 1,means the dish is aligned to the correct satellite.
As for the signal test on a digibox, that only relates to the default transponder, which in this case is 11778V.
Does the network ID show 0001?

yeah its 0001, the frequency i used is 12246 V, 27500 3/4. I have also tried with 11778V.

Are there any tricks i can try, maybe point to 28.8E when i turn the box on, then swing to 19.2E while its still on? would that make a difference?
