OK some might argue that it's mainly inexperienced / naive people just starting out who do so but surely even the most inexperienced person should do some research before making any such purchases and even a tiny bit of research on forums such as this should be enough to make one realise that eBay is a no no.
This would require common sense and it is my experience that common sense isn't so common.

Thinking about it, I would have thought alot of people use ebay as they feel their transaction has far greater protection when using paypal and will use the sellers feedback as a safeguard that they are buying from a trustworthy seller.

I think its a bit harsh to tarnish all ebay traders with the same brush but I would rec people hunt around and get as much info from the sellers as possible about their boxes.

Some caution must be reserved when looking at the sellers feedback. The buyer will leave this as soon as they receive the box therefore if they've got duped with a clone it may not be weeks or months till after they start using the box until they realise. It may also be worth considering that some people are unknowingly selling cloned boxes. Just as easy for these people to be naive as anyone else.

And before anyone says we are all doing dodgy stuff yes true but we should look out for each other as well.

Well said we should be looking over each others shoulder,so what were all dodgy at times but a buisness set up soley to sell clones and rip us off, this annoys me.

I managed to get through to them on the phone today, mentioning that they had ignored all my emails, the girl on the phone told me that they had just started back today and would be sending out RMA numbers tonight. I'm guessing that's going to be quite a few if they actually get around to it.

i got them today and got the rma number and i have posted box back to them they offered to replace or refund the money. I asked if the box was a clone and they said there is not any origional Eurovox max v about anymore and Eurovox are no longer a company so there wont be many originals about for much longer. i noticed there website is not there now www.euromax.tv

eurovox max v stopped being manufactured when the ex5000 and ex1000 came on the scene so any new max v for sale will almost certainly be a clone. Eurovox are still a company its Rayyonics the main importer that is apparently no more.
