Default Strange Eurovox problem

Hi all ive found this forum to be brilliant at solving peoples problems and up to yet have never had to post as all the answers have been within posts already made.
Although through exhaustive searching both here and on the internet im non the wiser and need some help please.

I have a eurovox max v which is an original as i have checked this and is just under 7 months old(2 weeks outside warranty)and after moving it the other day it has started to play up a little.
Through all the keyrolls it was fine but when i moved it started to play up 1 night with the chirping and pink lines and went on to reboot then did the same again and froze.
The only way to get it back on was to unplug it and then replug it in but this lasted for less time so i left it off hoping it was overheating due to being on a shelf above a radiator.
I kept the heat off it and allowed it to cool but when turned on again it did the same.
The following day i turned it on in the morning some 6 hours later and straight away it froze and locked up again.I did a factory reset new powerscan and it seemed ok and was fine from 10am right up until 8.10pm last night when it went again pleasing my girlfriend no end as i was out.On my return i unplugged and replugged it in and it stayed on for 20 minutes then went of again so i plugged in the vm box and it was fine.
Later on i replugged the euro in and it was fine and stayed fine right up until 7.30 tonight when it went again so it does not seem to be a heat problem, it cant be a connection problem as the other box works fine and i dont think its the kettle lead as its the same lead and works fine most the time.
The only thing i have not done is flashed the euro as i dont have a null modem cable and i dont want to go buy one if the box is screwed for obvious reasons.
So can anyone shed any light on it for me please ,it really is bugging me now.
Thanks

I will have a look through posts - but seem to recall threads on here around April referring to component problems within the box.

Sorry but I cannot recall what exactly, but seem to have a memory of some component going pop from turning power on and off.

Hopefully this will jog someone elses memory.......

Yes m8 i had a C14 blow on me, but that gave off different faults (like strange letters on the front display) not saying this isnt the same problem though. Best thing to do is take the case off and see. Theres a pic of it on here somewhere showing which component it is.

Could be a signal issue, is it connected via a splitter, even thought the VM box works ok the Eurovox might not like the signal level in your new address.

it could well be the capacitor c14 but before you go down that route you could try to flash your box with the latest firmware fix that sorts the 8% low signal. you will have to get a cable to do this but even if this fails the cable will be required for the next update for either your current box or your new one whichever applies
