I tried to unloop a Rom 11 BOD today but I encountered a strange problem.
I've done lots of these before using my Powersync and never had a problem.
I tried to unloop the card using Rom 11 Unlocker script but it stopped pretty much straight away with an error

line = ird = ird + hexstring(Sc.Getbyte(bytes),2)
Tried it again but same thing.
I tried Sidewinder but it says commport is busy ,its as if the card isnt there.
When I read the card in Nagraedit it get as far as
Attempting to login to BD3
BD3 login failed
Reading ROM11 failed
Closing of COM5 was successful
Everything looks ok there.
The card is locked but the unlooper doesnt seem to be picking it up.
I tried another card and that is picked up fine so its not the Powersync.
The card still works in the set top box and is read by it fine.
Bit of a puzzler,maybe the contacts are bad or the card is faulty ?

I had a couple of cards which did that.

I messed up the ird coz the winex script crashed half way with the error your stating.

but, I managed to get the bk via sidewinder bk grabber.

Try reading it with boxgetpc2. long shot!!!

comm 5 ???
try reasigning comport to comm 1
sounds like virtual comm port problem

I had it on com 1 then I tried it on com 2, still the same.

Thanks guys.
I dont think its a comm problem as I can read lots of other cards fine,its just that one I have a problem with.
I'm confident my setup is good.
I've never been able to get Sidewinder BK Grabber to work properly ,it detects the card but always returns a null response whatever then means.Sidewinder Unlocker works perfectly though.
If I try BK Grabber with the dodgy card it just says cant detect commport.
I tried Boxget2pc,it reads the Rom version and Cam ID but it cant get the BK.
I think it might just be a faulty card,its a new sub only active about a week.

i read my subbed card in sidewinder bk grabber and put it back in the box and it has been there eversince (about 6 months now) and i have heard nothing

If your Win Explorer Scripts gives an error in the middle . Execute it again but just check if the VCC is changing Which configuration are you using for WIn Explorer and Which Script ?
Let us know then i will share mine . My Settings are working fine !
