Hi flashed my blue max box lastnight with the new firmware it worked ok apart from channels
been missing so did some things and put it back to factory settings then did a power Scan
and after it finished I had to put the keys back in my self and got the channels I could
not get after the new firmware where all back, so does this mean it not worked,
and I will need to flash my box again or do I need to add cdf files?

Check whether emu is enabled because after the new firmware it should auto update the key.Just press 1968 on the language button.

do u know any other I can check if my emu is enabled as doing 1968 is not working

i could be wrong but, after an update the 1968/language way of doing it dosnt work anymore.
its just menu then the yellow 'text' button.

thats how it was on my blue maxx anyway.

yep can do that but that only lets me put in the new keys which i have done and it works but what about when it rolls again so how do i know if emu is enabled

try
Go to parental control in receiver menu

press ( i or info button) + (2007)

key and emu buttons should now be visible
switch key emu to on position
go to scrambled channel and wait for update

you have to press 1968 twice

Press menu then enter then 1968 1968 then you will see the options to enable,
