Angry modem hell - Noob Please help

hi all,

im currently trying to buy a modem for to suit vm, after reading many post it looks like to ambit 250 is the most popular and the best one to go for, but in many post it also says that i will need a few other things in order to get it to work like some type of converter for so that you can connect the modem to a port on your cpu. is this correct.

can someone plese give a guide on everything that i will need to get in order to be sucessful and if possible where i can get them from.

all this has got my head done in just keep going round in circules plese help

thanks

Hi this was all new to me until a couple of days ago. I purchased an Ambit 250 from ebay flashed with the infinite firmware, The seller also provided the full software to setup the MAC & Tftp IP, Came with full instructions and was up and running in 5 mins, They work a treat.
My Ambit 250 is connected to my router via ethernet and of course the VM cable but nothing else needed to connect it.

Good Luck

whats the sellers user name?
because im thinking about getting one.
is it straight forward to set up once you recieve it?
and in future if you have to put new firmware on it,
does it instruct you how to?
only thing i'll need my own mac details, if i brought one correct?
