Manufactures have a tolerance before they will replace a TV because of a dead pixel. I think it is as high as 17 pixels in the center and 28 near the edge but if the dead pixels are in a cluster you might have an argument. By the way most sales assistants will not know of this. If it is really annoying you then complain but if it is only noticeable up close then I wouldn't worry about it, it's not a sign of a serious problem.

I bought a small 15" LCD TV from Argos with a 'stuck pixel', it was bright pink FFS. It stood out like a sore thumb. But I had no problem returning it, especially since the staff didn't have a clue what I was on about anyway.

found another one, i can only see them close up when i move back they are unnoticeable, and one of the dead pixels seems too appear then disappear?
should i return the tv, or is it stupid for a couple of dead pixels that are only seen close up? the tv is new |

If you are unhappy with it return it but it is not a problem that will necessarily get any worst. It is not the type of fault that causes further failure down the line and there is no guarantee that the replacement will be any better. Have known someone that had to change an LCD TV 6 times before they got one that worked perfectly. This is the extreme and not the rule and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen each of the faulty TVs. So as I said at the beginning if you are not happy change it.
