Default Loaded 1x Flash instead of a 2x Flash

Hi there.

I need assistance. My Nokia Dbox2 has been loaded with a 1x flash instead of a 2x flash.

The box will not load up now.

Is there any way to reset the box or take off the 1x flash?

Thanks

Are you able to flash the image yourself, if so then reflash it with a 2x image.

There are loads of guides around on forums for dbox which will help you work out whether you have a 2x or 1x box. One way is to shine a torch through the vents and you should be able to see whether there are 1 or 2 x amd or intel chips inside or you could remove the casing if you are having probs.

The other way is to check when you have a working image on the box. In one of the menus (not got dbox in front of me to check, but will vary between images anyway) you will get a screen with information about the box and image and there will be colours at the bottom of the screen relating to the coloured buttons on your remote. One of them says information or something and when you select the colour it will show you whether its 1x or 2x.

Have used an app somewhere also that pings the box and comes back with the info. Not sure where i got it from now and don't have it on this computer.

As far as i know, only Sagem boxes have both 1x and 2x chips, the Nokia will all be 2x chips.

Hope this helps.

PS. I usually write a small 1 x or 2x on the casing for those i have built in the past so that i dont have to go through the whole process again when i need to reflash it for someone.

Thanks people.

Yes I must admit my ignorance played a large part.

I loaded the Linscat image fine, however I could not load the channels. It was my first time flashing my box I thought I loaded the wrong image on.

Thanks for the hallenberg tool. The only thing is how can i check my IP address on the dbox if it is not loading up or will hallenberg address this?

Thanks again.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to download hallenberg. Every time I try and download it it crashes.

Thanks.
