Default Astra 2, 28.4E ?

Hi folks.
As you know i live in Spain. (raining here, have had to come inside)
I have just installed a 1.3M dish, and with help from the satfinder, pointed it at Astra 2, 28.2E My problem is: When ever i get a good sync and lock, and then do an automatic transponder scan, i don´t get the channels that i should, and after the channel name, it shows 28.4 E. I have tried everthing i can think off, but the only time i get a lock is when i pick up 28.4E. I am asuming these are the channels off Eurobird. The annoying thing is, i know of a company that is selling 80cm systems, installed with a dirt cheap fta for 199€. This includes true movies and some cartoons, transponder 11642 V, which is one of my weakest signals.
As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Andy.

If your living in Spain you won't get the BBC or ITV channels off Astra 2D on a small 80cm dish as this is broadcast on a tight spot beam over the UK

As with the Dreambox showing 28.4e thats just an idiosyncrasy of certain images, I'm sure i had that on one of the older Nabilosat images

In order to help we need to know which channels you are trying to get and your exact location with in Spain. We will also need to know which Dreambox you have and which image you ae using

Hi Nano.
I´m not after bbc etc, as you need a 1.9 dish for this. I have a dreambox 500, and am useing darkstar 2 image. I live in la marina, alicante. I am looking to get such channels as bbc and sky news, bbc stream sports, nuts tv, true movies 1 + 2, tiny pop, pop, tiny pops plus.
I have acctually seen these programs on an 80cm dish.
Many thanks, Andy.

Look again Andy , what you should actually be looking at is a repeater (microwave)as they are commonly called here, they are hooked onto a local platform which uses 2.8 + 3.5 dishes to pick up h + V signals, if you have read the local spanish papers ,you´ll see the news of different "operatives" being shutdown for distribution..meanwhile they set up new companies and use the same people to do the installing, some "customers" are paying up to 300€ for this,,you´ll also probably hear the news that a "card " will be and has been used to decode certain "packages" like what you have mentioned. these "cards" use irdeto encryption ( I have 3). by the way you´ll also know that you have to go to the local townhall for permission to setup and install anything over a 1.90 dish, including on your own property!!there´s a tax to pay!!
regards

just to let you know that with a 110 dish ,it is possible to get 100% sky signals including all freesats-in dream there are a total of 733 services in northern Spain , on the east side with a 200 dish and no cut off hours !!
