Default installing xp on slave hdd

is there any way of installin a copy of xp straight to my slave so it will work in a second pc?

Yeah disconnect master ,leaving on slave on should install ,but when u drop it in other pc u will need to update ,mobo drivers

er....lol....you might wanna mention that the os will almost certainly fail to boot due to the EULA restrictions. If the os senses a different set of hardware than it was installed on then it will most likely fail to boot. You 'may' get away with the windows repair, but usually a reinstall is necessary, and with it, reactivation of windows. This of course contrqavenes Microshaft's licensing agreement.

Oh, the above only relates to oem installs. If you have a retail version of XP then you can legitimately install it on any one machine at a time (and a laptop).

Why can you not just install it on the 2nd pc?

yeah when i do it, it just says os not found in top left corner

You could install it as a dual boot (thats assuming you use vista ATM) or are you just trying to copy the OS (activated) to a second PC??
