Believe me madrat, ive collected many , many whelks from the rocks around the northern ireland coastAs a matter of fact a wee place called ballyhornan, i think thats how its spelt, near ardglass, has been on our local news, because "teams" of foreign people are collecting the whelks and the area cant sustain the volume of whelks they're taking. It will be whelkless very soon
