Hi lads i just bought this NTL VIRGIN AMBIT 250 255 CABLE MODEM INFINITE FIRMWARE on eBay, also Cable Modems, ADSL Cable Modems Routers, Networking, Computing (end time 22-Dec-08 11:22:49 GMT)

was just wondering what I need to do to it next to get it to work?

Get a mac off a friend with a working modem or sniff one using dhcp force (make sure theres a config filename in thw one you use) and then inoput it in 250 configulator and restart your pc.

ok I've got virmin media at home just want faster speeds! Where can I find my MAC address? IP settings?

You goto the Private FTA section and download and read the tutorial where it says how to change your mac. Also you will find 250_configurator.

Your genuine MAC addy might be on a sticker on your subbed modem, have a look.
